Tutor Profile

Bonjour !

Je m’appelle Angélique. I am French and come from Champagne-Ardenne, a region located in the northeast of France, known for its sparkling white wine with the same name!

I am a qualified primary school teacher and have been teaching for fourteen years. I am Interested in alternative pedagogical approaches and I have enhanced my educational practice training with the Montessori method.

Having studied various foreign languages (English, Spanish, Italian and Swedish), I know how learning new languages can be challenging!

I like  teaching and creating structured and gradual lessons to meet the learner’s needs and level. I am patient and listen closely to the aims of the learner.  It is important to me that the learner feels confident and takes pleasure in the learning process.

I am specialized in children teaching and provide guided play and structured lessons for young learners. However, I also enjoy teaching to adults very much. I like the different dynamics found in lessons according to the different ages and learning objectives.

Learning a language is also about learning its culture! I enjoy talking about the culture of my country to help the learner better understand the way French people live and think.

I like walking and spending time in nature to rest and regenerate. I practice yoga, qi gong and meditation, and got certified as a children’s yoga teacher. I enjoy reading,  going to  the movies,  playing the piano and knitting!

I like travelling, I have visited various English-speaking countries and have travelled through numerous French regions.
