Online Private French lessons for Beginner, Intermediate or Advanced Students

The combination of regular conversations over Skype with follow-up homework is an excellent way of learning. And Learn French at Home is extremely flexible on content and lesson times, which makes learning that little bit easier.

I just  wanted to let you know I am enjoying my French lessons with Nanou.  She is very good and very kind in her teaching approach.  It is so easy to connect and learn from Nanou.  Thank you for that Céline !

Time flies!  On our last class, Nanou sent me the link for the new magazine this month.  I had a chance to browse through it a little bit and found it to be very good additional resources to your quality programs that are being offered at your online school.  I look forward to keeping on learning and improving my French language.

I have always wanted to learn a new language and made the decision to try and learn French. With the advent of technology, I tried to sort lessons out online with another company and had a few Skype lessons with a teacher.  I was a complete beginner and I have a learning difficulty and found that although she was very nice, she seemed to just give me way too much information then I was ready for.  I also found that communication was a problem and I was responsible for booking in lessons and it seemed very disorganised.  I decided to try somewhere else and that’s when I found Learn French at Home.  I sent them an email telling me about how I wanted to learn French and could they help me. Almost instantly I received a lovely email from Marion who agreed to give me an online assessment to gauge my level and to match me with a tutor  

I was matched first with a lovely tutor called Caroline who understood the barriers to learning I face. Every week was exciting and I was learning a little more each time.  I started to gain in confidence and learn some simple phrases.  I found that Caroline took time to identify my weaknesses and help me overcome them with repetition and made me believe that I could learn this language.  After Caroline, Marion took over and I’ve been having lessons with her for about 2 years now.  She is extremely patient, thoughtful and understanding and pushes me beyond what I thought I could do and it’s become a huge part of my life.  I like how she can instantly assess where my weaknesses are and allow me time to make mistakes and try and improve. 

It’s not just the high quality of teaching that Learn French at Home deliver, it’s the little things such as frequent and instant communication if I have any questions via email and they genuinely care about helping the students achieve their own personal goals. For anyone looking to learn French, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Learn French at Home.  For someone like me who struggles in the classroom, it’s perfect and lessons are adapted around you with so many options also!

Je suis très content de mes leçons avec Céline V. Je suis à mi-chemin de mes leçons maintenant et je sens que j’ai fait de bons progrès et que j’atteindrai mon but grâce à Céline. Céline est toujours patiente, agréable et flexible, surtout à propos de mes horaires de travail qui changent souvent nos leçons horaires ou la quantité de devoirs que je peux faire.

Les leçons sont un bon mélange de discussion, de grammaire, de devoirs et d’exercices. Elle me laisse parler beaucoup quand je voudrais essayer de m’exprimer, et m’aider avec mes nombreuses erreurs.

Céline utilise beaucoup des méthodes d’enseignement afin de garder l’expérience d’apprentissage fraiche et intéressante. Par exemple, elle m’a donné des devoirs avec des films, des vidéos et plusieurs brilliantes chansons, ainsi que des devoirs des manuels. J’ai trouvé beaucoup d’émissions et chansons intéressantes en français grâce aux conseils de Céline. Elle a toujours plus de conseils pour les devoirs si j’ai le temps mais je ne me sens jamais obligé de faire trop de devoirs. Elle répond toujours très rapidement à mes questions.

Je dois travailler beaucoup sur mes études mais c’est un plaisir de travailler avec Céline. J’ai hâte de continuer avec elle.

En passant, à propos de vos manuels, je trouve que les livres “Say it with a French Accent” et “French Grammar Basics and Beyond” sont excellents. Ils sont écrits très bien et clairement. Il y a beaucoup d’exercices et c’est beaucoup de travail, mais j’apprends beaucoup de ces livres.

My current teacher Corinne is excellent. Her lessons are well planned and her explanations are clear and easy to understand with plenty of feedback after the lessons.

My daughter has been studying French with “Learn French at Home” for 6 years. She started her lessons at an A2 level as a 12-year old. Today she is a confident fluent speaker with deep understanding of the French grammar. The lessons with Corinne de Potter have been a true blessing. Corinne is an experienced teacher, who is passionate about the French language, as well as  French culture and history, and who is also excited to share the knowledge with her students. She is patient, kind and thorough. I am hoping my daughter will continue with this enriching experience for as long as possible. Studying French with “Learn French at Home” is like going to a real school, but it is done in the comfort of one’s home at the time that is convenient to a student. I would recommend it to my friends and family or to anyone looking for proper, systematic French language instruction.
