Tutor Biography

Bonjour! My name is Charlotte, I am a French native from Lyon, France.

Learning and teaching languages and cultures have always been a passion of mine, I’m always excited to meet people from all over the world! At a young age, I did an internship at the Alliance française of Lyon and I immediately fell in love with the job of French teacher as a foreign language. I studied languages and translation (English Russian and Spanish) at the university, then I did a specialization to become a French teacher. When I was 20 years old, I did a student exchange program in Russia to improve my skills. There I helped students learn French. Later, I had an opportunity to work as a French teacher in Peru through a non-profit organization. I stayed in Peru for another 2 years teaching in a primary school for girls only. Since then, I’ve been living in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and I’ve been there since 2018! I am currently teaching adults needing French to immigrate to Canada or France.

When I am not working, I like cooking international dishes (mostly brazilian, indian, chinese…), walking, painting, going to the beach and reading.

I will be very happy to meet new students! It’s always a huge pleasure for me to meet new people and to teach French according to the needs of each student 🙂
