Tutor Profile

Bonjour !

My name is Julie and I am a French native speaker. I was born in Paris and I studied in France and the UK. I have been teaching for the past 5 years to children and adults in Turkey and Lebanon. With my students, my objective is to support them as much as possible in their learning so that the lessons are as educational and as fun as possible. I am ensuring that they are learning in a safe space where they can engage, achieve the best learning outcomes and increase their confidence in speaking French. Over the years, I’ve come to understand that tailored lessons are essential in achieving outstanding results, thus I’m always structuring my lessons according to the profile and learning objectives of my students. Also, I’ve prepared many students to the DELF, TEF and FIDE exams.

My background is rich as I’ve had the opportunity to travel to different countries such as Brazil, Vietnam and Turkey where I opened my perspectives to new cultures and ways of thinking. These experiences made me realize the importance in connecting, communicating and learning from others. It triggered a passion, one that is involved in any missions that involves knowledge transmission – and supporting students in their language journey is clearly one of them.

I completed 2 Master degrees – one in international relations and another one in water management which gave me the opportunity to work for nonprofit organizations. I am currently living in Beirut and I love cooking, hiking in the mountains, painting and gardening.
